I’m headed to Portland, Maine in August for some staged readings of a new version of What You Leave with SecondStory Theatre Company! This play was originally commissioned by Urban Stages Outreach for a 2019 NYC library tour & was already a time-bending buddy comedy-drama between Nikola Tesla and Robert Moses. Expect even more tender-stubborn-hopepunk weirdness (and 99% more agender pigeon) in the 2025 rewrite, because that’s what I want to see even more of in the world today.

My short play Lighthouse is out in the world! A nonbinary selkie (Scottish mythical shape-changing seal) escapes an abusive relationship and goes to crash with their exes, prompting all of them to figure out how (and if) they fit together now. The student productions I’ve seen or come to know about have been absolutely gorgeous and life-and-hope-affirming.
